Healing: No Potato Is Too Small

A gifted healing practitioner, who has had several sessions with me, sent an email describing the personal challenges she was facing. Then she wrote that her problems “… seem like small potatoes in light of people’s homes being flooded etc., but it still feels like a psychic storm of sorts.”

That is a good way to describe what so many people are feeling right now. A psychic storm. I don’t need to list all current events we are experiencing in this storm.

I will say that one powerful way to weather these times and choose the actions that will be as effective as possible, is to stay grounded. What would help you feel more grounded? A daily walk in the woods? Exercise? A healing session, bubble bath or a weekend away? Earthing? Talking to a close friend about current events? Not talking about current events?

These are the times for radical self-care. We all need to do what we need to do. There are no small potatoes; no matter how stress is manifesting in your life it is so helpful to acknowledge it, and then meet it with acceptance and love. What is in the way is the way. When we bring peace to the small potatoes, we bring peace to everything.

All this being said, I have to report I have been witnessing INCREDIBLY positive transformation happening in my healing practice and all around me. Clients are healing themselves from cancer. People are releasing life-long chronic anxiety, letting go of emotional blocks from their childhood, and clearing fear. This is a time of great change, and much of this change is positive.

  1. Nice article, Jeri. I posted a similar article today!I love your positive spin and I agree that when we take care of ourselves we take care of the world. I’m seeing it in my practice, too!

  2. Thank you Jeri for the reminder of keeping positive thoughts and attitude and keep on, keeping on, in grace and spirit for the greater good of everyone and the universe. You are a tremendous example with truth and exuberance. Love you, Marcia

  3. Wow Jeri! Thank you! This is so right in every way. I feel myself in a constant reiki grounded meditation. As the new shool year starts my immigrant students now include hurricane refugees. No potato is too small and joy is tangible making art with these kids. There has to be a better word than tangible! It feels like home wherever we are.
