Video of a Healing Presented by Gregg Braden

Should I post this video? Should I not post this video? After emailing a respected Healing Touch colleague for her opinion and thinking it over carefully, I decided to post this 14 minute excerpt of a talk given by Gregg Braden in 2007.

Even though I don’t feel I fully understand all of the implications of this video, I can’t stop thinking about it. What do you think?

This video was sent to me by Debra Wright. Thanks Deb!

Healing Heros

One of my original intentions when I started this blog was to write about Felix Kersten. As you can see it has taken me over a year to finally publish this post. Felix Kersten’s story is extraordinary, almost unbelievable and I am very excited to share it. He was a real hero in the Second World War, yet surprisingly not many people know of him.

He was the massage therapist to the Nazi Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler because he was the only person who could relieve Himmler’s debilitating stomach pain. Kersten’s “magic hands” gave him considerable influence over Himmler. He soon realized he could bargain for the lives of Jewish prisoners as payment for each healing.

John H. Waller recounts in his book The Devil’s Doctor how by the end of the war Kersten had saved the lives of more than 60,000 Jews in concentration camps by persuading Himmler to defy Hitler’s direct order to kill them all. Kersten also convinced Himmler to resist Hitler’s plan to enslave 8 million Dutch and Flemish citizens, thus saving many lives.

Kersten writes in The Memoirs of Doctor Felix Kersten:

“Himmler, particularly, learned to depend on me and to confide in me. I used these revelations to further my own ends, which happened to be that of checkmating the Nazis, cheating them of their many victims so sparing humanity much suffering. My advice, even, was occasionally asked by this man who rarely took advice from anyone. Eventually Himmler depended so much upon my treatments and valued them so highly that he though he could not survive without me and was willing to do almost anything to keep me by his side. I used my power over him to save the lives of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people and to ward of disaster, persecution and imprisonment from as many others.”

Before the war, Felix Kersten was an accomplished healer with a lucrative practice in The Hague. His clientele consisted of nobles and the Dutch royal family, including Prince Henry of the Netherlands. Most of his memoirs are about the war and not his healing methods, but I did find this description of his work:

“My treatment is a form of massage which affects the vital nerve centers. By pressure applied in the right place I can cause nerves that have ceased to function to resume their normal functioning.”

I am in awe of Felix Kersten: his healing abilities, emotional clarity, intelligence and bravery.  Check out the video (about 45 minutes) and I think you will also be inspired by his story.

More Music for Healing

The music I play in my healing sessions has a very specific purpose. It has to hold a fairly consistent vibration, yet keep the energy flowing in the healing space. When I am in and out of various energetic states I find music very beneficial in keeping the room grounded. Music is also soothing and relaxing for the client.

I want to start out by highly recommending the CD “Quiet Heart” by  Lisa Lynne.  The tone and quality of this CD is exquisite; it was perfectly produced. Check out her website here. Below is a song called “Walk With Me.”

“Quiet Heart” by Lisa Lynne

.“Spiritual Healing” by Deuter

“Spiritual Healing” is a must-have CD for healers. If you are looking for some new music you might as well check out everything Deuter has done.

“Passion Flute” by Stephen DeRuby

Another CD I have used frequently over the years is from a flute maker named Stephen DeRuby. I have two of his flutes. This music has a presence that fills and grounds the room so much I use it for many of my clients healing from cancer. This music creates a very supportive space. I also love “Sacred Spaces” and “Mystic Flute”.

Enjoy.

Self Chakra Connection

Doing the chakra connection on yourself is a wonderful way to ground and center in the morning. It is also helpful to release the stress of the day and prepare you for sleep. At night you can visualize the hand positions and slowly breathe into each position as you make your way up the body.

I recommend that you hold each position one to three minutes or until you feel a “shift.” A shift may feel like a pulsing between your hands. If you are holding your foot, it can also feel like your foot “expands” or “fills up.” You may also experience a shift as the sudden impulse to change to the next position.

I many times feel energy as “warmth” or “fullness.” Energy and energetic shifts can feel quite different from one day to the next.

You may not feel anything at all and that is fine. The energy is still connecting in your body.

I suggest you set an intention for the highest good for yourself as you start the connection and stay as present as you can during the hand positions. Enjoy!

The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe by Lynne McTaggart

Lynne McTaggart is a genius. If her phone number were listed in my iPhone I would file it under “G”- for Genius. “The Field” is an abridged two CD set from the book of the same name, published in 2007. These CDs contain 2 hours and 20 minutes of McTaggart’s journey in finding a scientific paradigm of how healing works. I highly recommend these CDs for healers and anyone interesting in energetic healing, spirituality, and exploring consciousness. “The Field” has expanded the possibilities in my healing practice and in my life. I hesitate to use the word empowering because that word has been beaten to death with a stick, yet that is exactly what these ideas have been for me.

Lynne McTaggart is an investigative journalist. With her husband, journalist Bryan Hubbard, Lynne McTaggart founded the health journal, “What Doctor’s Don’t Tell You.” As a journalist, she studied the medical literature to determine what worked and what didn’t in the healing arts. She realized that modalities like acupuncture, homeopathy, and spiritual healing worked. She then decided the current scientific paradigm of how the universe worked was wrong or incomplete. So she traveled around the world and spoke to prominent scientists from a wide range of disciplines to understand how the universe did work. In this way, she created her theory of “The Field.”

McTaggart’s field is an energy that connects all living things across space and time and provides a practical working model for how healing works. In these two CD’s McTaggart clearly explains how everyone individually has the power to create with intention and how we can collectively heal and transform our world.

The book has basically the same information, but I found McTaggart’s story wonderful to listen to and incredibly accessible in her own voice.

I highly recommend these CDs to everyone. I’ve listened to them many times and have bought more sets than I care to remember for my clients.

Check out Lynne McTaggart’s work and let me know what you think. She has just released a new book called The Bond and I‘m going run out and buy it right after I publish this post!
