Reiki is not a modality used only for sessions in a healing room. Reiki is a way of interacting with the world.

Virginia Samsel does Reiki outside, on the land. She feels with her hands the energy of the vineyards as she quietly walks through the grounds, much like a traditional Reiki practitioner uses their hands over a client in a more traditional on-the-table Reiki session.
Reiki enables her to perceive the energetic flow of the earth, sometimes emotionally, sometimes more visually. She discovers the areas of stagnant energy and other places that are out of balance. She often draws a colorful energy map of the land’s energetic flow for the winemakers who hire her. Virginia also works on-site and also does distance sessions.
Her website is brief, yet fascinating. Virginia writes about Biodynamics, developed by Rudolf Steiner. :
“Biodynamics is a form of holistic agriculture developed by Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian occultist, clairvoyant, philosopher and architect. Through a series of lectures in the 1920’s, Steiner presented a practice tied to lunar and astrological cycles, spiritual interaction, biodiversity, homeopathic composts and treatments, polycultural practice, and elemental inclusion.”
“An important aspect of Biodynamics is the connection and utilization of Cosmic energy. Many of the technical aspects of Biodynamics have prescriptions for specific timing or method of action, it is important on the part of the farmer to experience these actions physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It is through these varied understandings that the work (system, vineyard, soil) fully develops it’s vital force. In modern era we have learned to live with these aspects separately. Through Reiki and other energetic practice we can reintroduce spiritual and emotional energies into our physical and mental pursuits.”
