Self-Healing With Breathwork

A small white dog lounging on a colorful bedspread, looking relaxed and cozy.

In April, I missed twelve days of work because I was sick. I had that crazy coughing cold/flu thing that was going around. I was exhausted, but I did not have a fever. From what I was hearing from other people, I knew it could last for two weeks.

Canceling clients is my least favorite thing to do. Disappointing people is irritating, and I have to talk myself through it every time. Knowing I would be down for a while, I decided to fully surrender to the healing process.

It still sucked.

I had a lot of time alone to think and meditate. Unfortunately, I checked the news a bit too often, and I felt the weight of the world.

Breathwork saved me. When I felt overwhelmed, I breathed for a full hour. It released all the sadness and grief that had come up, and my body felt so relaxed, calm, and peaceful.

I felt so much gratitude for my breathwork practice.

As you can see from the photo, my dog Berkeley also helped me heal by lying around being cute.
