Clarity Breathwork: Testimonial For Touch

♥♥♥
I was a massage therapist for many years and that experience  has served me well in my Breathwork practice. When I hold space for my clients in a Breathe, I often use touch to help them get the most from their session.
A hand placed on the heart area can open up so much energy when the breath becomes unsteady. Holding my client’s feet can be such a gentle way to return the focus to the body.  Sometimes I use my hands quite a bit in a session, and other times I don’t physically touch my client at all. There are so many ways to help someone feel safe. Below is from an email a client sent after her Breathe:
I remember a moment where I had some really bad epigastric* pain (just after one of my waves of nausea, of course), and you put your hand right over that spot for a bit.  Just before that, I’d had some pain in my right trap*, and you moved your hand from where it was to hold that spot exactly.  It amazed me, as it does every time you do that, that you knew exactly where it hurt.
* Epigastric pain is in the upper abdomen just below the ribs.
* Trapezius: upper shoulder muscle

Letting Go Is Healing

“Letting go is like the sudden cessation of an inner pressure or the dropping of a weight. It is accompanied by a sudden feeling of relief and lightness, with an increase of happiness and freedom. It is an actual mechanism of the mind, and everyone has experienced it on occasion.”

From page 8 of the book Letting Go, The Path Of Surrender by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

In this book, David Hawkins states that the resistance to painful emotions is more painful than actual ones.

This book is brilliant. It is about how healing it is to experience all your emotions, especially the difficult ones. Usually, when we feel overwhelming emotions like fear, anger, rage, worthlessness, or grief, we tend to suppress, repress, express, or escape them.

Hawkins instructs us to locate the sensation of the emotion in our body. Is it in your throat? Abdomen? Head? What happens when you just connect with it? Hawkins recommends not following your thoughts about the emotion but feeling the emotion in your body and letting the emotion move through.

This book has a very simple message that is profound. It has given me a deeper insight into my work, and life. I highly recommend it.

Staying Connected To Your Inner Compass With Healing Sessions

Healing Touch and Reiki sessions provide the perfect space for you to reconnect with your intuition.

In this age of false news and conflicting information, it is an essential survival necessity to stay in touch with your inner knowing, your internal compass, and your highest wisdom.

We face so many questions daily: When do I take off my mask? Should I go to that party on Saturday? Should I camp in the woods during fire season?  How can I best show up for the world?

Each one of us makes a difference. As I have written before, One grounded, centered person can shift the energy of an entire room. Each of us makes a huge difference on the planet at this time.

If your internal compass points you to a healing or breathwork session, give me a call.

In-Person Breathwork Sessions Are Back

I now do private in-person Breathwork sessions. I wear a mask, so you don’t have to. I am also still getting tested weekly for Covid.

Here is what one client recently wrote me the night after her first post-covid breathwork session :

“I was really shocked to feel ok when I came out.  That I felt joyful and visibly lighter.  Physically lighter, like a huge weight had been removed from my body.  Wow.  It was super powerful.  I’m a bit surprised and a bit in awe that I was able to do it.  I thought I might get too scared.  I thought I may block myself.  But I trust you and I trust my breath deeply.”

Jump-start Your Meditation Practice

These are the times a regular meditation, prayer, or yoga practice can be really beneficial for your health and well-being.

Coming for a Reiki or Healing Touch session is a great way to jump-start your meditation practice – no matter how you meditate. Energy sessions calm and reset your nervous system, so it is much easier to focus in your daily practice.

Here is a wonderful quote and article on Self-Reiki treatments by New York Reiki Master Pamela Miles:

“The practice you actually do, is the practice that’s the best for you.”

How Do I Stay Courageous While Facing Death?

A very beautiful transaction. It’s not even what Rupert is saying, it is the space he is holding for her question. I found this video so inspiring I would like to share it with you.

Where does real courage come from?

“See that behind whatever fear arises lies ever-present being, not your ever-present being, God’s being, the only being there is. That one, or awareness itself, is ultimately deathless.”

Healing: Feeling Unsafe To Be Safe

In Chapter Eight of her book  Welcoming the Unwelcome, Pema Choödrön writes:

“The more willing you are to step out of your comfort zone, the more comfortable you feel in your life. Situations that used to arouse fear and nausea become easier to relax in. On the other hand, if you stay in the comfort zone all the time, it shrinks.”

I do everything I can to create a safe place for my clients when they come for a healing. I make sure the temperature of the room is perfect for each individual  (there is a huge range of preferences). I choose their favorite music and set the volume at a soothing level. Each session is at least two hours apart, so no one leaves feeling rushed, or ungrounded.

Despite all my good intentions,  I often witness my clients feeling unsafe to relax and let go on the healing table. I have realized that to truly create a space for my clients to feel safe, they often have to feel unsafe.

After long periods of stress their emotions, mind, and physical bodies have tightened up to protect, support, and defend them. Letting their guard down and relaxing their muscles can feel foreign, and even scary.  Many people receiving an energetic treatment are sometimes surprised in the first session to find out how much trauma they were holding.

Yet, just this conscious awareness of our internal state is so healing, however difficult it is to first acknowledge.  Even if people “fail” to relax in their session, that subtle inner awareness begins to change their experience of life for the better.

Sometimes people are back to their center in one session and sometimes it takes months, even years for others to finally experience what it is like to feel relaxed and safe in their bodies and in the world.

“And the Day Came When the Risk to Remain Tight In a Bud Was More Painful Than the Risk It Took to Blossom.” – Anais Nin.

Healing For A Better World

The Healing Space

Many people are now experiencing increased anxiety. World events have been particularly unsettling. I had several clients arriving at my healing space this week reporting that this was the worst they have felt in a long time.

I tell them:

“This is the perfect place for you to be right now. It’s so wonderful that you have this healing scheduled.”

It’s true.

When life is most challenging, Energetic Healing and Breathwork are two of the many practices and modalities that help us stay centered and grounded.

We often have limited control over external events, yet internally we can create the space we need to hold all that is happening in the news and on the planet. By staying connected to our inner guidance, every one of us can initiate the most effective and intelligent actions available to create the world we want to live in.

Report From A Breath Session

“So much of the breathe is a blur.  In some ways, it felt long, it felt the full 50 minutes.  In others, I did not want it to end because it was lovely.  I did manage to focus on my breath.  I did manage to float.  That’s what it felt like—I would float.  Detach completely.  I was conscious of it—the coming and going.  I’d leave my body and come back.  I’d feel the breath as I came back.  I was very conscious of coming back into my body and then slowly feeling myself float off again.  It was gentle, light.  There was a LOT of light too, so much light.  The whole room held all this light almost the whole time.”
– Client after her Breathe
Every Breathwork session is different and gives you exactly what you need in that moment. I have witnessed so many people release stress and tension, resolve childhood trauma, and connect to their own healing energy.
Clarity Breathwork changed my life and my own sessions continue to give me access to my own deeper guidance.  Sharing Breathwork with other people, especially in these times, is such a joy.

Reiki Supports All Stages Of Your Healing Journey

On social media, I recently read that Reiki treatments alone are not sufficient to heal all aspects of your life.

I might agree with that on certain levels, yet Reiki and energy treatments can definitely support you throughout the whole of your healing journey.

Whether you are healing from a cancer diagnosis, are going through a round of insomnia, or at a point in your life where you can address old childhood trauma,  Self-Reiki is always there for you. All you have to do is put your hands on your heart and let the energy comfort, rebalance, and relax you. This peace is so powerful during times of great transformation and expansion. Reiki healing is abundant and always accessible.

In my healing practice, I have many clients who are working with Psychotherapists, Chiropractors,  Acupuncturists,  Functional Medicine Doctors, and Family Marriage Counselors. Reiki sessions help these clients integrate and embody the shifts from all their healing sessions. Lately, this has been especially true – and productive – for people doing Ayahuasca and Plant Medicine Ceremonies.

Reiki treatments also gently access old thoughts and beliefs that they can take back to process with their therapist.
