Healing Touch Sessions To Support Spiritual Awakening

A close-up of a lavender-hued rose blossom with soft, layered petals, set against a blurred green background.

Healing Touch is a powerful tool for spiritual and personal development. Several of my clients are currently undergoing spiritual awakenings, openings, and deep transformations.

Healing Touch supports each person differently depending on their process and journey.

Sometimes healings help people stay grounded as they integrate new energy or shifts that arise in day-to-day life.

Profound breakthroughs often occur during sessions because healing allows you to relax physically, emotionally, and mentally. Balancing your nervous system is a direct way to open your inner world, reconnect with your higher wisdom, and even experience your thoughts as separate from your true self.

A Healing Touch session can create space for new insights, clarity, and a deeper understanding of who you are and what is possible.

Healing Touch For Pain In Hositals

One of the greatest practical benefits of Healing Touch is pain relief. I see it over and over in my practice.

In my vision of a healthier future, Healing Touch would be available in every hospital — especially for patients recovering from surgery or accidents. This isn’t far-fetched: Healing Touch can significantly reduce pain without medication. A session can improve patient care while also saving hospitals money.

If you or a loved one needs to be hospitalized, ask if Healing Touch is available.

Many nurses are Healing Touch Practitioners, and a growing number of hospitals now have integrative healing clinics.

Healing Touch: After the Dentist

An anatomical illustration of the human head and neck, highlighting various structures with labeled letters, including the skull, jaw, and throat.

Going to the dentist feels routine, right? We fit appointments in between work meetings and grocery runs like it’s no big deal.

But on a primal level, having someone work inside your mouth can be stressful for your body and nervous system. Even when you trust your dentist completely, your body may still feel threatened. Old childhood dental memories can resurface, and you can feel extra emotional after a simple cleaning.

A Healing Touch session can help reset the nervous system and restore a sense of calm. It’s a beautiful post-dentist modality—and a reminder that these are moments when we need to be especially kind to ourselves.

Healing Touch Quarterly Meeting 2/3/2026: A Taste Of Focusing

A smiling woman with short hair wearing glasses and a red top with black sleeves, sitting outdoors with her arms crossed.

My healing community has four meetings a year. Everyone who is interested in energy, healing, and living their best life is welcome. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, from 6:30 to 8 pm on Zoom. Here is the Zoom link:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82732503140. You can just show up.

I am thrilled to have Ann Weiser Cornell, Ph.D., as our guest speaker. She is an author, educator, and worldwide authority on Focusing, the self-inquiry psychotherapeutic technique developed by Eugene Gendlin.

Focusing helps you access your body’s intuitive wisdom, called the “felt sense,” to gain new insights, resolve problems, and foster healing by connecting with unclear inner bodily awareness of a situation. With these easy-to-understand steps, you can change the way thoughts and emotions are held in your body. The process is simple and profound, and truly life-changing. Really.

Healing: Feeling So Much Better

I have not written anything personal in a while. I try to keep these posts as uplifting as possible, yet much is happening in the world that is not so positive.

A cozy bedroom with a massage table, a blue pillow on the table, and a large window showing green foliage outside. A wooden desk and chairs are visible in the background, along with soft curtains filtering sunlight.

For me, the Holidays were pretty wonderful. Connecting with family was extra special this year. Yet, the world news around the New Year hit me hard.

I doubled down on my self-care, and I am doing all the things to stay balanced and grounded. I make sure I eat well, exercise, meditate, and don’t overbook my schedule. I also, of course, continue receiving my monthly Healing and Breathwork sessions.

The day I was going to receive my Healing Touch session last week, I felt pretty good. On the drive over, I thought I was doing quite well. Yet after the session, I felt so much better.

My body felt better – I was so relaxed and grounded. My mind felt clear, and during the drive home, I became excited by a new creative project. I am still feeling the peace from that session.

I am so grateful for energy work.

Music For Healing

I haven’t shared a music recommendation in a long time.

Here is one of my favorites. Duduk music. It is the most soulful and emotionally evocative music I have found.

Joanne Avison: Fascia and Healing

Joanne Avison’s YouTube channel is a wealth of information. I highly recommend setting aside forty minutes to check out this video. I am learning so much from her “fascia-focused conversations.”

She writes about the video above:

You’ll learn how chronic tension, anxiety, and emotional holding patterns can physically embed themselves in your tissues — and how micro-movements, breath, and subtle awareness can begin to unravel them.

She describes how to heal burnout, brain fog, a tight jaw, and irritability. She explains how stress can feel like a buzzing sensation. The body is truly amazing.

Trusting The Intuitive Process Of Healing

Learning to perceive energy in a healing session has often been — and still is — a surprising and mysterious process.

The Healing Touch Professional Association offers Virtual Chapter videos for members on a wide range of healing topics. In one of these videos — I can’t remember exactly which one — an experienced and successful healer shared a simple technique she uses to keep her mind from wandering during sessions.

On the surface, keeping your mind focused during a healing seems logical. Yet my inner experience often unfolds very differently. My thoughts tend to act like a mirror, reflecting the emotional energy of my client’s inner world.

One session in particular stands out. A young mother came in, mentioning during check-in that her daughter had broken her wrist the day before. It sounded like a straightforward situation — a typical childhood accident.

But as soon as I placed my hands on her, a wave of violent imagery surfaced in my mind — flashes of car crashes, murders, and death scenes from police shows I had watched more than a decade ago. The intensity shocked me, and my first reaction was judgment: “Wow, this is not appropriate for a healing space.”

Over the years, though, I’ve learned to trust the process. My greatest strength as a practitioner is knowing that whatever arises in a session — whether calm or chaotic — has a purpose in the healing space. So I stayed with it. About ten minutes later, the violent images dissolved, and what emerged was a deep sadness. I could feel it release.

When the session ended, my client opened her eyes and said, almost in surprise, “I had no idea I was that traumatized. I feel so much better.”

The emotional intensity had belonged to her, but the specific imagery came from my own life experience. I wasn’t reading her thoughts — rather, I was sensing the quality of them. This reflection helps me hold space more fully and meet my clients exactly where they are.
