This post was hard to write.
Bill Bengston has been a huge inspiration in my life and healing work.
I took a workshop with him in 2012. That workshop radically ‘expanded’ my paradigm of energy and the reality of what is possible.
On the morning of the second day of that workshop, I watched him eat a bagel for breakfast. I remember how significant it was that the bagel was not from New York. 🙂 I wrote down everything he spoke about during those fifteen minutes, including two books. I ordered them as soon as I got home.
My whole paradigm of reality shifted quite radically right after that workshop.
Anyway, on a less personal level, I discovered William Bengston’s transition from an email from CHI. Since then, I have been rereading his book, watching the last of his video interviews, and finding his latest research online.
I can’t even begin to describe the valuable contributions Bengston has made to the study of consciousness and reality. I will be writing many posts on his work. For now, check out a few of Bengston’s concepts of healing listed under Patterns in Energy Healing by The Psi Encyclopedia:
- Neither the healer nor the patient needed to believe in it for it to be successful.
- The most aggressive types of cancers were most responsive to treatment.
- Some human patients genuinely did not want to recover from illnesses, and so would not return after initial positive results, or otherwise sabotage treatment.
- After an injury, the sooner the patient was treated, the faster and better the results were.
- The longer a patient had had a condition, the longer it took to cure.
- Sometimes an initial aggravation of symptoms would occur, prior to cure.
- Mice cured in the experiments also became immune to the same type of cancer, as they would not grow tumours even if re-injected with the cancer cells.
- Water and cotton given psychic-healing treatments became curative if applied or ingested.
His book The Energy Cure: Unraveling the Mystery of Hands-On Healing is part memoir and part instruction. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in healing, consciousness, and the science of reality.
We lost a great human being and a brilliant mind. I am sure his work will continue in the limitless dimensions of consciousness.
